Livonia, Missouri – Bob Richardson recently built a new 3,600 head wean-to-finish swine barn outside of Livonia. Friends, family and the local community were invited to an open house and meal.
The open house allowed visitors to get a look inside a modern facility before the barn is washed, sanitized and the pigs move in. New technology such as solid side tunnel ventilation and a controlled environment ensure safe and comfortable living conditions for pigs no matter the weather.
Piglets will come into this facility at 15 to 20 pounds and be raised to market weight. Richardson will utilize the manure produced by these pigs to fertilize his row crop business. Bob Richardson and Integrity Builders & Supply hosted the event on January 10th. Other sponsors included: Farmweld, Bank of Springfield, L.B. White and EPS.
