Farmweld Service Comes Through
Ross Kuper
One day last fall, Ross
Kuper reached his boiling
point. He had a 2,500-head,
wean-to-finish barn under
construction, but there was a
problem. The gating for the
new facility (pre-ordered from a
company other than Farmweld)
hadn’t arrived on multiple
promised delivery dates, and
the construction crew was
quickly wrapping up its work.
In a moment of desperation,
Kuper picked up the phone and
called Julie Habing. Habing is
Kuper’s sales representative at
Farmweld and had worked with him to supply feeders, cups an
scales for the building.
Habing quickly consulted Brian Miller, Farmweld’s production
manager, and just two and a half weeks later, 1,750 feet of
Farmweld gating with posts, brackets and drop pins arrived at
Kuper’s facility.
Farmweld’s ability to ful
ill the order under extreme time pressure
impressed Kuper. He bought Farmweld gating for another facility
– where he also had originally pre-ordered from another
company – just a few weeks later.
Kuper says that Farmweld’s service and attention to detail is
second to none. “When Farmweld ships an order, it is all there –
you aren’t missing any parts, there are so many bolts and nuts –
everything corresponds perfectly,” he says.
Kuper has a total of 7,500 wean-to-
inish pig spaces in three
barns. He says it takes almost no time at all for the small pigs to
learn to use the feeders. “It is amazing how fast they take off on
the feeder – they just learn to jump in and eat,” he says. “And
the feeders are easy to clean and easy to set.”
The Osage, IA, farmer says that Farmweld equipment is highly
durable and both pig-friendly and user-friendly. |
