Fall 2006

With A 5,000-Sow Expansion, Bible Pork marches on as The Maschhoffs exclusive gilt multiplier
Bible Pork, Louisville, IL, expanded to 12,000 sows as the exclusive gilt multiplier for The Maschhoffs. Owner Matt Bible and Production Manager Kevin Van Dyke had no complaints working with Farmweld to supply the equipment.  “On a 5,000 sow job, that is huge,” he says. In addition to farrowing crates, gating and other equipment, Farmweld built custom-sized gestation stalls for specific Parity-1 and 2 and Parity-0 rooms.

Farmweld Jumbo Feeders: Important Production Tool
Kim Brenneman, Elida, OH, says Farmweld Jumbo Feeders are ideal for wean-to-finish because small pigs can step into the feeder to access feed yet large pigs don’t struggle to eat in the big feeder space.

Spring/Summer 2006

Farmweld Cast Platforms: Flooring To Last A Lifetime
Jim and Dave Fisher at Fisher Hog Farm in Middletown, MO, learned Farmweld makes a habit of shipping exactly what’s ordered…without missing the tiniest bolt. That impressed them. So does Farmweld’s quality products. The Fishers switched to the ModularCast Center Platforms for farrowing room floors after they grew tired of continuously replacing worn-out woven wire flooring.

“I Wouldn't Put Any Other Flooring In”
Mark Sturtevant says he can easily see the quality difference in the Farmweld Flooring System. Designed to last, Sturtevant says Farmweld’s panels have just the right thickness at pressure points and the beveled underneath edges keep dirt from collecting. The orange color makes the panels easy to clean, too. Sturtevant operates a 3,300-head nursery with his father, Dennis, and brother, Brian, in Shannon, IL.
