Teutopolis, ILÉ Farmweld's all new Modular Cast Center for farrowing crates is long lasting, causes fewer injuries and provides excellent traction.
The panel is made from a highly durable, non-porous material that will not rust and will last for years. Not only will you have less replacement
cost, but also less cost of installation and downtime associated
with replacement.
This flooring is poured in an open cast. The open
cast results in a cast without seams. No seams mean less chance
for roughing up sows shoulders or pigs knees. In addition,
panels are carefully buffed to remove any rough spots. Veterinary
experts say that with fewer injuries, theres less chance for
sows and pigs to develop infections that lead to performance losses.
This new European cast flooring offers excellent
traction for the sow with its high-low pattern surface. Sows can
get up and down easily, yet are comfortable when resting.

Each Farmweld cast iron section is 24" (61.5
cm) x 42" (108 cm). Two sections are used per crate. "With
only two cast pieces under the sow, she cant work a section
up or out of position," says Farmweld President Frank Brummer.
Each section interlocks with Farmwelds plastic flooring panels
and the new Fiberbeam or traditional galvanized beams.
