Keeping your pigs comfortable and clean is the primary objective of all Farmweld sow and pig flooring products. It starts with our sow platforms and nursery flooring systems, made of state-of-the-art polypropylene to ensure long-term durability. The material also provides for easy and thorough cleaning to help keep pigs healthy and growing.

The larger panel size makes the Farmweld Flooring System the standard of excellence for pigs when used with the farrowing platforms and nursery flooring. Designed for seamless integration, the Farmweld Warming Panel™ reduces drafts and keeps newborn piglets warm and comfortable.

“I’ve never replaced a feeder or a single piece of flooring, and I can’t see any wear – anywhere.”

Superior quality material promotes animal comfort and health. The Farmweld Flooring System panels are molded from high-quality, state-of-the-art polypropylene. This provides a warm, comfortable surface for a baby or nursery pigs to eat and rest, promoting efficient growth.

The textured surface creates excellent traction to keep pigs safe as they move about. The bright orange, non-porous plastic promotes the rapid transfer of waste into the pit and is easy to clean, which enhances biosecurity efforts.

Flooring panels offer flexible sizing, easy installation, and minimum waste. Flooring panels can be cut every 4″ (102 mm) in width, so fitting is easy and waste is kept to a minimum. Standard panel sizes are: 18″ x 24″ (457 mm x 610 mm) and 24″ x 24″ (610 mm x 610 mm).

Fiberbeams™ feature a solid fiberglass design that provides stronger, more stable, and durable flooring supports. The solid-filled construction leaves no gaps for rodents to infest. For added durability, fiberglass beam clips protect the fiberglass beam from wear and tear, therefore a rubber beam clip should be used on each end of Fiberbeams where the beam touches concrete.

Fiberbeams come in a range of sizes. To best meet the specific needs of your buildings, Farmweld offers a range of different beam sizes, with standard sizes of ¼″ x 3″ (6 mm x 76 mm) and ¼″ x 5″ (6 mm x 127 mm). Farmweld Fiberbeam spans available include 84″, 90″, 96″, 120″ and 144″. In listening to producers, we’ve found these sizes to be easier to handle and more forgiving if the concrete poured doesn’t exactly match the plans.

Farrowing house platforms and nursery flooring: Our Modular Cast Center Farrowing House Platforms and Nursery Flooring are designed as an integrated system to work with other Farmweld flooring and farrowing products. This durable platform will last for years – saving material, installation, and downtime costs of replacements.

The Farmweld Warming Panel™ integrates seamlessly with Farmweld’s Farrowing Crate Flooring System. The Warming Panel reduces drafts around newborn pigs, while the textured surface provides improved stability. Interlocking design and size allow flexibility in determining coverage area. The Warming Panel also can be used in nursery areas as a warming center.

What our customers say about our Flooring System.

“I like how you can cut the Farmweld Flooring panels and use the cut piece to start the next row with no waste. The orange panels make the finished product look brighter and I like how firm the flooring feels when you walk on it.”

Paul Winter

Installer, Sheldon, IA

“The orange flooring is great for pig comfort because it gives them a nice, warm climate. The bright orange floor makes pig visibility good. It is easy to look for pigs that need to be cared for. The flooring cleans up nicely, too.”

Jim Fisher

“It is a lot easier to see the pigs against orange flooring than white flooring, for example. When you first look at the pigs, you’ve got to be able to identify the outline of the body. That way you can see whether the pig is gaunt or bloated, or has other signs of sickness.”
