Farmweld Junior Feeder (L) and Jumbo Feeder

Farmweld's Junior Finishing Feeder handles pigs from 7# (3.18 kg) to 250# (114 kg), making it an option for producers who market lightweight hogs or who handle pigs from weaning through a light grower stage.

Solid Dividers:  Like our popular Jumbo Feeder, the Junior Finishing Feeder offers solid dividers for greater uniformity and less sort loss. According to Kansas State University, reduced sort loss resulting from solid dividers earns $113 (USD) in additional income per feeder per year.  That's .$84 per pig with 50 pigs per feeder and 2.7 turns per year.

The Junior Feeder is 36" (915 mm) high. The tall height means ample hopper capacity without added extension boxes. Pigs can't reach the feed tube so no tube holder is required.

Feed spaces are 14" (356 mm) wide and 9.5" (244 mm) deep, smaller than our Jumbo Feeder, but adequate for lighter weight hogs.

The moving feed gate agitation system and easy top adjustment reduces waste and enhances feed intake. Feed access can be matched to pig size and ability. Feed flows evenly and does not wick up moisture from feed trough.

The feeder is made of 100% #304, 18-guage stainless steel with fully hemmed edges and reinforced corners.

All Farmweld feeders are highly durable and they clean out easily. Farmweld's new Flip-to-Clean System works can be used with the Junior Feeder, allowing it to be cleaned-in-place.
